The Godstrike gampelay preview in today’s video features the first pair of bosses I faced in the game, the tutorial boss and the totem boss. After talking a bit about Godstrike, I jumped into an encounter and get to blasting.
As a boss-rush game, there’s no downtime. As soon as the level starts you’re fighting the boss. And they sure as heck are going to be fighting you.
What’s most unique about Godstrike gameplay is that there is no health and no mana. Taking damage and taking advantage of special abilities costs time. Each boss fight starts with a certain amount of time. Once that time runs out, it’s game over. But because each ability and perk costs a unique amount of time, you can plan some neat build and experiment with efficiency.
